New Post!
Hey, Toby here! This post is about security softwares that I have reviewed and LOVE! IT IS ALL FREE!
Apps:
WOT - Web browser security! Check links before visiting them, always a step ahead!
Secunia PSI - Excellent software for finding vulnerabilities in your system! I have a laptop that is 98% secure!
AVG - PERFECT anti-virus scanner! Uses a new technology called behavioural detection (Or something like that!) in order words it doesn't need to register a virus against the database it can monitor it and make sure its a virus, Great for today's dynamic viruses! Completely free!
Comodo Firewall - Monitor and reinforce your web firewall! Its free and Thanx to it I know what goes in and comes out of my laptop on the web!
Avast! - Its ok, been protecting me for a long time! Great AV, 2nd below AVG in FREE anti-virus software.
Winpatrol - This is great to help monitor recent changes to systems and helps to trace viruses and spyware.
Ad-Aware - Its a good product that I use to make sure I am safe from Adware
Well, There lots more software out there but these ones I recommend HIGHLY! Post comments if you have questions!

Largest phishing attack on Email servers in history
New Post!
A guy walk up to your front door asks for your keys to the house, will you give it to him? Or, your working on your computer and a woman/lady appears randomly and asks for your password to your computer, will you say yes? You wouldn't (HOPEFULLY) give it to them because your smart enough to figure out that they can do horrible stuff to your computer or home.
Recently, over 10,000 Hotmail email accounts were compromised and listed on the web for all to see including passwords. And now over a total of 20,000 mixed email accounts were also compromised. This was possible because of a phishing attack. a phishing attack is when spam is sent to email boxes and users open and read it. They follow links, phone numbers, etc on the email and are phished of their identity.
A phishing attack relies on user interaction MOST of the time. So, the smarter and more time we use our COMMON sense, the better protected we are!
The unfortunate event that recently happened is a reminder to the world that we must be smart while surfing the web. Don't go clicking and filling forms that look suspicious! If you get a suspicious mail, don't follow the link on the email but research the company and don't call the number if there is one, use google! Basic common sense is what is needed for basic protection against phishs!
Keep safe!

New Post!
We are warned off fake adverts like Evony and what they can do to our computers! But, what we don't expect is a REAL life encounter! These women were unfortunate to have witnessed such an event! This is another reason to THINK before you CLICK!
"
Nine young women have been duped into appearing in internet pornography after starring in a fake Big Brother-style show.
The 16 to 24-year-olds were locked in a house and filmed round-the-clock for two months.
But instead of fame and fortune from becoming reality show stars, naked pictures of the women were sold on the internet.
The scam in Turkey was uncovered when one anxious set of parents contacted police.
The victims had all responded to an advertisement on the internet asking for contestants for a new Turkish show called Somebody's Watching You.
They signed contracts agreeing to stay at the house for the two-month period and to pay a forfeit of £20,000 if they walked out.
Initially, the women were delighted after moving into the luxury villa, complete with swimming pool.
The victims were released on Sunday and one Turkish man was arrested, as the investigation continued. "

ALERT! ALERT! SECURITY BREACH!
BREAKING NEWS!
New evidence is showing Evony, an online popular gaming site as a fraud and a fake!
SITES:
This isn't new, it has been widely rumored that Evony was a scam but now has been proven.
Detail and user recalls give expericences best related to Trojans and Adware:
“Something happened this morning. Just when i logged in my account to play Evony, my Anti-Virus detected 4 trojans horse in explorer.exe. They came right when i entered my server. I am no expert about virus so I don” - An Evony user
“Hello, i would like to inform ye that your site is infested with Adaware. http://www.pctools.com/mrc/infection…e.Mostofate.E/ Every time i log onto evony this comes as part of it. I have tried it several times, deleting it THEN just opening up evony and presto its back on my Computer. Its the “monitors the users browsing activity.” that im not paticulary fond of !” - Another Evony user
First on the list of issues is that is had been alleged that the developers of Evony have been linked to a Chinese gold-farming company called WoWMine. The company that developed the game is Universal Multiplayer Game Entertainment (UMGE). A quick search of the web for information about this company showed up nothing. The websites for UMGE are currently unavailable as of the writing of this article.
Second on the list is that the viral ad campaign itself contained a trojan called SHeur.AYRM. It would appear that a computer could be infected with this trojan by clicking through on some of the Evony ads hosted on the game. The infected code has been removed from the game as noted by an administrator on June 8, 2009 on the GameAxis forums and Evony has submitted for a review from Google to be cleared.

Security
New Post!
Security, drives anyone who isn't tech-savvy CRAZY! Well, found this really cool plug-in that delivers simplicity to the matter. WOT, if you haven't heard of it, you need to pay a bit more attention to the web! WOT stands for Web of Trust, as the name goes, everyone has a say in security! It warns about websites which could have Malware and Spyware and etc. I find it simple enough for non-tech-savvy users! Try it!
