Captain Dandare(Bottom Left) orginated from Britain during the 1960's and lasted till date. It features a British Sci-Fi hero who goes into outter space and fights aliens in Venus. He had an enemy called Mekon(right), whom ruled the Treens(further right) in the northern Hemisphere of Venus. The southern part liked Earth and was at peace with it. They were seprated by flamelands, it bascially divided the planet in two. Its main focus is advanced rocketery in the future. You can get episodes online if you want to watch it. Its action packed and entertaining.

"War brings advantages", thats the 1st thing that comes to my mind when i think of this video from http://www.silicon.com/ which features old technology and how they revolutized the British forever.
