Largest phishing attack on Email servers in history

New Post!

A guy walk up to your front door asks for your keys to the house, will you give it to him? Or, your working on your computer and a woman/lady appears randomly and asks for your password to your computer, will you say yes? You wouldn't (HOPEFULLY) give it to them because your smart enough to figure out that they can do horrible stuff to your computer or home.

Recently, over 10,000 Hotmail email accounts were compromised and listed on the web for all to see including passwords. And now over a total of 20,000 mixed email accounts were also compromised. This was possible because of a phishing attack. a phishing attack is when spam is sent to email boxes and users open and read it. They follow links, phone numbers, etc on the email and are phished of their identity.
A phishing attack relies on user interaction MOST of the time. So, the smarter and more time we use our COMMON sense, the better protected we are!

The unfortunate event that recently happened is a reminder to the world that we must be smart while surfing the web. Don't go clicking and filling forms that look suspicious! If you get a suspicious mail, don't follow the link on the email but research the company and don't call the number if there is one, use google! Basic common sense is what is needed for basic protection against phishs!

Keep safe!
